You are protected through a contract. In accordance with French provisions with regard to the building of private homes (Law, dated 19 December 1990), Au Temps des Bastides has drawn up a building contract to be signed when your project is completed. This contract will protect you from any unpleasant surprises during work on your building site and after your house has been completed. It will guarantee your safety in several areas:

• On the one hand, it is a highly detailed reference document, since it draws up a description of the house along with plans, gives its cost, completion deadline and the methods of payment.

• On the other it is also an essential part of French legislation for your protection, since it provides you with the detail of your guarantees and insurances taken out by Au Temps des Bastides. The purpose of these guarantees is to protect you from any bad workmanship or other defects, not only during the duration of the building work but also for a ten-year period following the completion of the house.
