Once the construction drawings have been approved, they are sent to a reinforced concrete design office, which will calculate the overall reinforced concrete structure and the layout of metal reinforcement bars needed for the building. If the building is located in a seismic area, this is also taken into account when calculating a suitable concrete reinforcement layout.
The soil survey, a study of the soil on the plot, is carried out by a chartered geologist.
